Orlando, November 3, 2023 - Traffic and Mobility Consulting (TMC) team members had the opportunity to substantially support Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando and Osceola County via financial and volunteer efforts. TMC volunteered at the Silver Pines Community located off Pine Hills Road, 1.5 miles south of Silver Star Road. As construction volunteers, we were led by crew leaders who have experience in constructing homes. Crew leaders were very helpful in teaching us about safety in the field and showing us how to use machines and tools for construction.
TMC was able to help with construction in two habitat homes. We were able to paint the inside of one home that was recently constructed and put up prefabricated walls for the second home. Other construction tasks included landscaping, unloading trucks, erecting walls, caulking, and cleaning. As volunteers, we worked together on multiple tasks and accomplished much to support stability and financial security for two single family homes.
