Conducted Traffic Impact Analyses to assess the offsite impacts of the multi-phased Marden Ridge apartment complex in Apopka, Florida.
Conducted a Traffic Impact Analysis to assess the impacts of a 280,000 square foot industrial park located at Peterson Road and King Street in Apopka, Florida.
Provided transportation engineering services for Hamlin Elementary School site in the rapidly growing Horizon West area, as part of the Orange County Public Schools relief school program.
Prepared signalization plans for the intersection of Ocoee Apopka Road and Harmon Road in Apopka, Florida. The design included 2 dual mast arms, 8 pedestrian pedestals, and ITS communication. The signalized intersection will help the response time of the future fire station traveling to the hospital.
TMC assisted the developer in negotiating the regional mitigation agreement imposed by Osceola County and provided support and review of the SEATS plan. TMC’s contributions resulted in a simplified and equitable implementation of the mitigation agreement for the individual applicants within the planning area. Additionally, TMC prepared transportation studies and continues to provide support for the approvals of the residential and commercial development planned within the East Lake Toho Master Plan.
TMC prepared a transportation plan for nearly 3,000 acres at the connection of the Turnpike and I-75. With 2 miles of frontage on the CSX railroad and a strategic location on the transportation network, a multimodal transportation plan was developed to support millions of square feet for a regional distribution hub with associated commercial and residential uses. A new interchange on I-75 was explored with the FHWA and the FDOT, which supported the proposal for further evaluation through an Interstate Justification Report (IJR).
TMC worked with the city and county to secure development and permitting approvals for the new Veterans Affairs facility. TMC prepared a traffic impact analysis and mitigation plan to accommodate the development in accordance with city and county requirements. Additionally, TMC developed an access plan that accommodates the special needs of veterans arriving by personal vehicle, public transit, and paratransit services. A new traffic signal was warranted and designed for construction at the shared access to Williamson Boulevard.
TMC prepared a traffic analysis to help secure rezoning and site plan application approvals for the new car dealership. Additional services included an evaluation of the pavement conditions on the primary access route to establish a restricted truck route that minimizes the impact on the surrounding commercial and residential areas.
TMC developed signal warrants and engineering plans for the widening of more than 1.5 miles of Hancock Road to a 4-lane divided facility. TMC prepared signal and ITS engineering plans to control and interconnect 4 signals along the corridor. TMC also provided Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plans to maintain safe and efficient traffic flow during construction.
TMC developed the design traffic projections and engineering plans for the widening of more than 5 miles of Avalon Road to a 4-lane divided facility. The study included geometric configuration and traffic control for 14 major intersections along the corridor. TMC prepared temporary and permanent signal and ITS engineering plans to control and interconnect 12 signals along the corridor.
TMC assisted with obtaining development and permitting approvals for this mixed-use community of 500 residential units and 50,000 square feet of commercial use. TMC secured approvals for a Traffic Impact Analysis, Signal Warrant Analysis (SWA) and Intersection Control Evaluation (ICE) from the city, the county, and the FDOT. TMC also provided signal design plans for two intersections on US 27.
TMC evaluated traffic operations and circulation patterns at Lockheed Martin’s MFC secure facility to optimize arrival and departure operations. Using innovative traffic control measures and advanced micro-simulation modeling techniques, TMC developed, tested, and prioritized alternative solutions for campus access, interchange configuration, and perimeter road configuration. Lockheed Martin and Orange County adopted the recommended improvements for implementation.
TMC prepared an Area-Wide Transportation Study for the Williamsburg neighborhood, a 1,000-acre historic residential community surrounded by tourist retail growth. Using traditional and Big Data traffic collection methods, the travel characteristics and tourist traffic intrusion into the neighborhood were identified and quantified. In collaboration with residents and county staff, TMC developed prioritized alternatives to address the neighborhood’s multi-modal transportation needs.
Prepared signalization plans for the intersection of Ocoee Apopka Road and Harmon Road in Apopka, Florida. The design included 2 dual mast arms, 8 pedestrian pedestals, and ITS communication. The signalized intersection will help regulate traffic and improve the response time for the fire station vehicles traveling to the hospital.
